A substantial portion of the Atlas Promotions coaching program focuses on networking. It has taught us how to make lasting connections without wasting time or other resources. After all, no busy professional can afford to introduce themselves to random people without real goals in mind. To get the most value from your networking, try some of these methods:

• Set Daily Goals for Social Media: With a limit of 140 characters, it doesn’t take long to compose a catchy tweet. Even Facebook posts are easy to develop. Make a point to post or share something on a daily basis. Being active online keeps people engaged, and when you share others’ posts you let them know you appreciate their insights.

• Set a Weekly Goal for Email: Email is still an effective outreach tool. Just be sure you don’t send anything that resembles spam! At Atlas Promotions, we send messages with personalized subject lines and that include genuine compliments. Sometimes we ask meaningful questions as well. Sending just one of these emails per week to a contact is a great networking effort.

• Share Content Generously: Rich and relevant content is the way to go, and it isn’t just for marketing. Posting blogs, videos, images, white papers, and other sharable information is a powerful way to earn recognition as a thought leader and earn the trust of people in your community.

These Atlas Promotions networking techniques are great because they’re effective, they don’t require much time, and they’re essentially cost-free!
